Hi! I’m Davina Choy
The designer, instructor and writer behind Sheep and Stitch

My goal is to create knitting patterns, tutorials and videos that demystify knitting and make it fun, accessible and relevant in the 21st century.
I’ve been knitting since I was 14 years old when an older auntie offered to teach me three skills she felt a successful woman must learn: cooking, budgeting and knitting.
The first two skills are still works in progress, but knitting became my passion and career.
I founded founded the Sheep and Stitch website and Youtube channel in 2014. My first pattern was the Big Hat, which is still one my most popular knitting patterns with over 1000 projects on Ravelry.
Raised in Vancouver, BC, I’m currently based in Hong Kong where I live with my husband Nathan and grumpiest dog Katie.
My work has been featured in Martha Stewart, Canadian Living, Frankie Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, and the Yarniacs podcast among others.
